Akrapovič has launched a brand-new Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system for the latest edition of the BMW M5, which can be finished with a choice of tailpipes and enhanced with optional extras.

The Slip-On Line (Titanium) has been specifically designed for the BMW M5 (G90, G99), and it features many parts that have been cast at the Akrapovič in-house titanium foundry. These include the exhaust valve housings and specially designed collectors. This high-grade lightweight titanium system reduces weight by 31.8% (6.12 kg) over the standard stock exhaust, and it has been developed for cars with gasoline particulate filters, leading to EC/ECE type approval for such vehicles.

Akrapovič sound engineers have focused on delivering the optimal sound experience of an Akrapovič type-approved exhaust. This has been achieved through many carefully designed and combined elements, including

the main exhaust tubes with an increased diameter, allowing for high flow when the valves are open, which has an effect on both the sound and power. Acoustic reflectors in the tailpipes, which reflect part of the external sound toward the cabin, and a special control kit, which uses the valves to provide a refined experience in all drive modes, all work in harmony to deliver a deep and sporty tone without compromising comfort. The system is finished with a set of either hexagonal or round carbon-fibre and titanium tailpipes. Customers should select one of these options when ordering.

Along with a stunning design and superb Akrapovič soundtrack, the Slip-On Line (Titanium) also delivers performance increases. Power gains of 5.2 kW (7.1 hp) at 2,050 rpm and torque increases of 24.3 Nm at 2,050 rpm have been achieved when tested on the Akrapovič dyno against a BMW M5 with a standard stock exhaust.

To further enrich the installation of the Slip-On Line (Titanium), Akrapovič has created several optional parts to complement the exhaust and increase the visual impact. Alongside the optional Tail Pipe Set (Carbon) in two designs, customers can also opt for the hand-crafted Rear Carbon Fibre Diffuser and, for the first time, the Rear Lip (Carbon). They both come with a high-gloss finish, with the rear lip only available for the G90.
